Snake River Recreation Area
Northwest Land Management
13766 Highway 12
Clarkston, WA 99403
The historic Snake River country - along the Lewis and
Clark Trail - provides ample recreation opportunities for
the entire family. Associated with the two dam projects of
the US Army Corps of Engineers,
Chief Timothy Park and Central Ferry Park make up
the Snake River Recreation Area. These two sites - all formerly Washington State Parks -
are now operated by Northwest Land Management under a concession
lease with the US
Army Corps of Engineers. Both of these locations offer
an oasis of shade and water with all of the attendant recreational
activities. They are extremely popular day use areas all summer
long. Overnight camping - some with full hook ups - is also
available.
